What is cloud connect?
The Cloud Connect service allows the Last Yard cloud platform to integrate and operate in real time with retailer’s existing IT store based systems; for example Point of Sale systems, databases, printers etc.
Last Yard uses Cloud Connect to allow stores to print PDF files (batches of tickets) on-demand from the Platform to specific printer trays in store.
Cloud Connect is a single Microsoft Installer wrapped in a setup.exe package.
The service and status tray icon are single executables installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Last Yard\Cloud Connect.
Where do I install cloud connect?
Please install on any computer that has access to your POS API, this is generally a main server computer. Please make sure this computer remains on and just asleep to maintain connection and to ensure updates are pulled through.
How do I install cloud connect?
1.Log into your instance https://XXX.lastyard.net
2.From the sidebar menu on the left hand side, go to Automation - Cloud Connect
3.Click the "Install New Cloud Connect" button.
4.Enter your stores name, consider also including your store number/ID EG: Perth City (123)
5.Click the "Cloud Connect Installer" button
Once Cloud Connect is installed go back to the "Install New Cloud Connect" modal and click on the "Next" button.
6. Click on 'Link with Last Yard' - this will trigger a pop-up that asks to open the Cloud Connect software and complete the linking process. Select 'Open Cloud Connect'
7.If everything was installed and configured correctly the table in the Cloud Connect page should look something like this (with your Name and Hostname)
6. Once this has been done: return to Last Yard in your browser and press 'Finish'.
